Need your Suggestions about Genting theme park?

Hi people, I plan to visit Kuala Lumpur Malaysia with my husband. Initially we planned to go to Genting theme park, but a friend of mine suggested that Sunway Lagoon theme park is also good with lots of water games in it. If anyone has visited both the theme parks, please tell me which did u like better. Which is a good place for couples?? Thanking you in advance. A1

2. I suggest you go to Genting as the weather is so nice. you can get hotel rooms easily and very convenient to get there. you may try your luck at genting casino too. Sunway lagoon is so hot and sometime the hot weather can affect you mood also.

Genting TP. - If you like cooler weather (being in the fridge) :P - being close to nature, watching sunsets, hills & big views - bigger higher types of theme parks - BUT if it's foggy/haze due to rain or temperature, thn the theme park will be closed for safety reasons, so watch out :) - food there erm basically fast food chains & some oth restaurants ain't tht nice (those r the only available =\ can be extra pricely) - hotel accomodations ain't cheap Sunway Lagoon - If u like being exposed to the sun, (artificial) sea & hot hot hot! there's the dry park & the wet park or combo. tickets - there can be a huge crowd esp. during holiday season & weekends coz. it's easily accessible & near to Sunway Pyramid Mall (just beside it). So if u dn't fancy the food @ the theme park, after u get out frm there u can eat at your fancy @ sunway pyramid. - this theme park, just went over a huge renovations thus many new things intro + etc. - taking public transport or driving is easy there - but becareful wth your cameras & wallets; try not to leave them around whn go swimming or etc. there are lockers for rent. :) the choice it's yours :D
4. Sunway Lagoon is more accessible from the city. Genting is a lengthy drive. When you get to Genting you're trapped in their monopoly. Around Sunway area there's plenty of independent outlets for food etc. You can easily stay in the hotel of your chice in KL and make a day's visit to Sunway. If you go to Genting you'll be more inclined to spend the night there (and pay through the nose for the privilege). Frankly, unless you're into gambling (and thus want to spend sometime in the casino) I'd give Genting a miss.
5. If u love water sports, take sunway lagoon. U can go shopping after sunway lagoon as Sunway Pyramid located next to sunway lagoon is a major shopping complex in msia. If u prefer cool weather and dry sports, go genting. U can go to the casino also if u go genting. Couple place, take a walk at genting at night. the weather is so cool n romantic. I visited both theme parks before, basically the dry park is almost the same between the two. But u wouldnt wanna swim at genting as the weather and water is very cold.
6. where do u come from? genting is a cool place where most foreigners like to go. u can go to our famous casino too sunway is hot but more water sport games. welcome to KL ^^
7. The weather's really nice in genting, especially considering its summer. The theme park, in my opinion, is larger with more rides and therez lots more to do as well, compared to sunway lagoon. Although the water park is quite nice at sunway, therez nothin much to do in the dry park and its only open from 11 PM to 6 PM whereas the gentingz open all around. I strongly suggest genting :D
8. Well I guess it depends on your interest. Genting doesn't really offer much water-related activities, though it's a more popular destination for couples (due to its cool weather, possibly? hehe...). Genting has much better rides compared to Sunway. And after exhausting their indoor and outdoor rides, you can opt for one of the hundreds of F&B outlets they offer. One of the best buffet I've had is at the Coffee Terrace, Genting Hotel. The Olive Restaurant is brilliant as well. The cool part about Genting is all their hotels are connected so your choices are endless. The problem with Genting is getting a hotel room. You're prolly gonna have to book rooms in advance (I had to book 3 weeks in advance da last time I went, but I guess dat's cuz it was during peak season).

Genting is better....you can play in the indoor theme park if the weather is not gd... and hey... is different feeling there... cold weather... lots of ppl from around the world... sunway lagoon is mostly on water games...but if you plan to shopping after that maybe you might like it..coz many shopping complex are just nearby.

11. what is you intention for choose these two places.., do u plan to stay there? -- Sunway lagoon - great water park & outdoor park.. - great choices of food & independant outlet. - near shopping area & choices of hotels. - hot surrounding areas & quite crowded.. Genting Theme Park. - cool high land areas - lots of hotel 5 star & romantic surrounding.. -indoor theme park..
