Distinguished Participants,

It is an honour to invite you to our 2nd Sunway Oncology and Palliative Care Symposium from 8 to 9 July 2023.

With the theme “Enhancing Patient-Centred Cancer Care”, the Symposium aims to highlight the advantages when both oncology and palliative care integrate in patient care management. When a holistic approach in patient care is combined with a tumour-directed approach to treat the illness, the convergence of these two fundamentals will result in the best outcome in patient care.

Medical care for cancer is complex, and managing the different aspects of treatment requires robust collaboration between the multidisciplinary team. The Symposium, which is in line with Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City being an ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) designated centre for integrated oncology and palliative care service, will bring together both local and international experts in oncology and palliative care who will share valuable insights based on their areas of expertise and interest.

In 2021, more than 4,500 participants from 24 countries participated in our 1st Sunway Oncology and Palliative Care Symposium. This year, we look forward to welcoming all of you from the Southeast Asian region and around the world, to join us again in this virtual Symposium to discuss the current clinical practices and learn from the experts, all with the objective of providing the best patient-centred care possible.

On behalf of the organising and scientific committees, we would like to thank our generous sponsors for their unwavering support that made it possible for all participants to join this virtual Symposium for free. We look forward to welcoming you at the 2nd Sunway Oncology and Palliative Care Symposium.
