General Wards 9.00 am - 9.00 pm daily only
Paediatric Wards 8.00 am - 9.00 pm
Maternity Wards 8.00 am - 9.00 pm
ICU / CCU / HDU 12.00 pm - 2.00 pm & 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm daily only
*Children below 12 years are not allowed into this unit.
Visiting after 9.00pm 
  • Under special circumstances, visitors may be allowed to visit patients after 9.00 pm
  • A visitor’s pass must be obtained from the Security Officer (main entrance) for visits after 9.00 pm
Children
  • Children are generally not encouraged to visit patients in the hospital as children are at increased risk of infections
  • After visiting hours, children below 12 years are not allowed in any of the wards

We strive to make your hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Here are some general information pertaining to your hospital stay:

Call-bell services in the ward are not chargeable. Please call for assistance.

Your own electrical items are strictly not allowed in the hospital. A hair dryer is available upon request.

Waiting Areas

Public waiting areas are located at the lift lobby of all floors.

Smoking

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in the hospital compound.

Telephone

Telephone

All patients’ rooms are equipped with a telephone to receive incoming calls. All outgoing calls are chargeable. (Local calls: press “9” followed by the required numbers. Outstation calls: press “0” to go through our operators.) Alternatively, there are public phones located at the lift lobby on all floors.

In the interest of safety, we request that you do not bring any valuables into the hospital. Sunway Medical Centre does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal properties.

Meals

Meals

Meals are complimentary for patients only. Food is supplied according to the patient's age and medical condition. Mealtimes are: 

  • Breakfast: 8.00 am – 9.00 am 
  • Lunch: 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm 
  • Afternoon tea: 3.00 pm – 3.30 pm
  • Dinner: 6.00 pm – 7.00 pm 
  • Night tea : 8.00 pm – 8.30 pm
     

Please use your own cutlery for non-halal food. A hot water flask is provided. You can make your daily food choices through our electronic meal-ordering system at your bedside.

To ensure food safety and to comply with dietary regulations, we discourage the consumption of outside food within the hospital. If you or your visitors bring in external food, please be aware that the hospital cannot be held liable for any health complications that may arise as a result.
