Established in November 1999, Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City, is a leading private quaternary hospital recognised for its clinical excellence and commitment to medical innovation. As a global leader in healthcare, we are proud to be the first private hospital in Malaysia to be accredited by three major hospital-wide international and local accreditations: Joint Commission International (JCI) from the United States of America, Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) International, and the Malaysian Society for Quality & Health (MSQH).

As the largest private quaternary hospital in Malaysia, we offer a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem with over 270 consultation suites and 24 operating theatres. We are expanding to accommodate over 1,000 beds in the near future. For added patient and visitor convenience, the hospital also features four multi-storey car parks with a total of 2,644 parking bays.

To meet the growing demands of regional medical tourism, our 2023 expansion included the opening of Towers D and E which house the outpatient department for multiple specialities, and purpose-built advanced operating theatres. Notably, Tower D is home to the nation’s first dedicated Children’s Emergency department within a private hospital, providing specialised, child-friendly emergency care.

Looking ahead, our upcoming Tower F will house the Children’s Pavilion, set to be the largest children’s health centre in Malaysia. The pavilion will offer more than 26 paediatric subspecialties, delivering comprehensive medical care and preventive support for the physical, mental, and behavioural health of infants, children, and adolescents.

We are shaping the future healthcare through our established centres of excellence across key specialties such as Oncology, Women and Children, Neuroscience, Heart and Lung, Bone and Joint, Robotic Surgery & MIS, and Digestive Health. Our expertise also extends niche services such as kidney, bone marrow, and cornea transplants; cochlear implants; cell-based and gene-based therapies, and precision medicine through our Genomic Medicine Services, offering advanced genome-based diagnostics for personalised care.
