SunMed celebrates Nurses Day with a bang!

Sunway Medical Centre celebrated close to 1,200 of their Nurses in celebration of International Nurses Day, organising a grand dinner to recognise the contribution that they make to our society. The event began with a welcome speech by Ms Chan Lai Hong, Group Director of Nursing, followed by Mr Choy Wah Wei, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Medical Centre, and last but not least, a short and meaningful speech by the Founder and Chairman of Sunway Group, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah.

The fun-filled and significant evening includes a cake cutting ceremony and a token of appreciation was also presented to the nurses. There was even an award ceremony for #20YearsChallenge photography contest and Awards for Poster Submission and Quality Improvement Award for year 2018.

All our nurses were also entertained by lucky draws with prizes to be won and performances by the nurses themselves. They deserved to be celebrated not just on this day, but every other day for their endless contributions to the society. Thank you for being the backbone of health care and most of all providing comfort, compassion and care that makes all the difference to our patients’ recovery!
