eXroid electrotherapy is a non-surgical treatment for internal haemorrhoids. It uses a low direct current to target the blood vessels supplying the haemorrhoid. This causes a chemical cauterisation reaction that leads to thrombosis of the capillary feeding vessels and protein denaturation. As a result, the haemorrhoid shrinks in size over time, with the full effect typically seen up to 4 weeks after treatment.

The treatment is performed as a day care procedure, offering minimal pain, low risk of complications, and a quick recovery with no downtime.
