On behalf of the Sunway-Cambridge Collaboration, Sunway University organised The Royal College of Physicians- Sunway- Cambridge Medical Seminars at Sunway Convention Centre. The seminar sessions took place on Saturday, 28th April 2019 with approximately 140 GPs and specialists present during the event.

The 1-day packed event began with a welcome speech by Professor Shajahan Yasin, the Professor and Head of Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, followed by 2 session of seminars, chaired by Dr Russell Roberts, Associate International Director to the Royal College of Physicians  and chair of the Nephrology Specialist Certificate Exam Standard Setting Group, representing Royal College of Physicians and Dr Joseph Cheriyan, Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist & Physician at Cambridge University Hospitals, UK and Vice Chair of the Cambridge Central Ethics committee, representing Cambridge University Hospitals.

The seminars gave the participants the opportunity to engage in leading-edge conversations about the advances in clinical practice through a blend of plenary lectures and breakout workshops. Topics discussed during the seminars include infectious disease, geriatrics, dermatology and respiratory medicine.
